Salute to Rewari Girls for their courageous efforts of striking for upgradation of school. After passing examination of class tenth they have to go to nearby village for higher study because there is no inter mediate (10+2) school for girls in their own village.
Education is a powerful mean to develop the society. Our Govt. is busy to propagate about girl education but in this case we realize that there is a tough course ahead to reach the goal. Girls had to sit on "DHARNA" for 7 days to spread the message of genuine demand of upgradation of school to class 12.
Girls of Dahina village( Gothra,Rewari,Haryana) give a strong message to Govt.of Haryana as well as Govt.of India that there is no lip service required for girls education but face ground reality and make appropriate arrangements for girls education.
After a case of very brutal gangrape(recently) girls of this village get success to make a big issue of eve teasing and crime against women. Girls have faced very tough situation during there agitation. The Haryana Govt.take 7 days to reach this village to hear the voice of girls students. Ultimately minister of education in Haryana Govt. came in the village and assured the girls to break agitation.
Govt. should respect non-violent measures of genuine demands and issues. We salute the striking girls for their extra ordinary courage and unity for a developmental issue of our society.
